Want to have a taste of the Bay and sea-kayaking without wind and waves? Is 3 hours paddling too much for your family or members of your group? Or would you like time to explore both the marine environment, the local history, and the amazing life on the Upper Salmon River Estuary?
Our 3-hour Estuary Kayak and River walk is designed for groups who may not be able to manage the challenge of the Bay (and it can be hard work with small children, or folks who have reduced upper-body mobility), but still want to kayak, explore and learn about the amazing Bay of Fundy.
The Estuary and Riverwalk offers a short dry-land training session, outfitting, and roughly 2+ hours on the water, exploring the Upper Salmon River, and the mouth of the Estuary leading into the Bay. At the end of the estuary, paddlers climb out of their kayaks for a river walk and explore, before choosing the perfect location to enjoy a small picnic. FreshAir Adventure’s guides will explain the history of the area, some of its amazing ecological qualities, and finally, they will explain why the Bay has the world’s highest tides.
A great trip for nature lovers and new kayakers who want to enjoy an adventure with no muss, fuss or stress.
