Molly Kool is designed for comfort, confidence, and easy exploring.
This guided kayak tour stays almost entirely within Alma’s protected salt-water estuary and tidal river, where the water is typically calm and sheltered from wind and waves. It’s an ideal choice for families with young children, first-time paddlers, and anyone who prefers a relaxed outing over a longer open-coast adventure.
We follow the quiet shoreline, watch for birds and marine life, and learn how the remarkable tides shape life along the Bay of Fundy.
Midway through the tour, we land on a small upriver island for snacks and our fun, interactive “Tide Talk.” The water here is shallow and calm, and children often enjoy wading and exploring while we take a break.
Near the end, we may paddle briefly into the harbour to see local fishing boats up close. On very calm days only, guests who wish may take a short look toward the open Bay. Participation is always optional.
No experience required. Just arrive ready to relax and enjoy the water.
Families & children
This is our best tour for younger paddlers.
Children may join from approximately age 3 and up, provided they are comfortable sitting in their own kayak seat. All kayaks are tandem, and youth paddle with a parent or guardian.
The island stop has a rocky shoreline with smooth stones, so secure footwear is recommended for exploring.

Meeting Time
All Estuary Paddle and River-Walk tours depart from our paddling headquarters in Alma. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to check in and get ready. Because our tours follow the tides, departures are on time.
